Individual Project
This project is based on the idea of 'Eco-Camping", and seeks to allow one to break out of their comfort zone, in a comfortable urban setting.
The strategic location of Dairy Farm Nature Park offers a respite within Singapore's urban surroundings. Given the varying degrees of humidity, temperature and lighting on site, site observations reveal linear movement and conventional circulation routes in adjusting for user comfort.
Embracing re-direction by contrasting environments, this design intervention aims to embrace contrast in redefining the campers' habits, and challenge the notion of "desired" spatial qualities they are comfortable with. In doing so, bringing a more thorough appreciation to the nature in Dairy Farm.
The project seeks to change how eco-camping is perceived on a subconscious level. The hierarchy of spaces evolve based on the preferences of the camper.
